Some of its apps will be updated to work better on tablets, according to the company. At I/O, the company announced plans to update more than 20 apps on tablets to make them work better on larger screens. New features for Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Keep will be added by the end of the day.
Today's feature is the ability to drag text or images between two apps when they are open side-by-side. You can now drag and drop text or images from any app into a document or spreadsheet cell. If you drag and drop files into the app, they will be uploaded quickly. Links to Drive files can be added by dragging the file into Keep.
To get better insight into your files, you can now open two Drive windows side by side. If you want to open in a new window, you need to select the three-dot menu on any Drive file. You can get the information you need without hitting the back button multiple times.

People who have a keyboard attached to their tablets will be able to use the new shortcut. To quickly navigate around Drive, Docs and Slides without taking your hands off the keys, you can use keyboard shortcuts, such as select, cut, copy, paste, undone and redo.
Scott Blanksteen, the senior director of product management, said in a post that the updates will be rolled out over the next few weeks. We will continue to add new features for the apps on the larger screen.
