Why should you change the name of your Mac?

There are many reasons to change the name of your Mac. If your computer has a previous owner's name on it, you may want to change it to your own.

It may be hard to find your Mac if it has a non-descriptive name.

If you have more than one computer, you should know which one is which. You can name them based on their model.

Adding your name to your computer will make it stand out from the others in your home. Apple will add a number to the end of a computer's name if there are more than one.
