The Delaware Chancery Court agreed to expedite the trial against Musk over his attempt to back out of the acquisition.
In a legal filing last week, the company asked to fast-track the trial because of the public dispute. Musk used the company's platform to insult it.
Musk's lawyers asked not to start the trial until mid-February, claiming that they had been denied user data.
They wrote that the sudden request for warp speed after two months of foot-dragging and obfuscation was its latest tactic to shroud the truth.
