Find basic system information in the Control Panel

With just a few clicks, you can see information about your processor, how much memory is installed, and the version of Windows you are running.

This is the first thing. Control can be found in the search box if you click the start button.

Find basic system information in Settings

Similar information can be found in the settings of the Windows operating system.

This is the first thing. The gear-shaped icon above the power icon is what you'll see when you click the start button.

Find detailed specs in System Information

Windows gives you more detailed information about your computer.

This is the first thing. Click the start button if you want to type system information.

Find details about video and sound in DirectX Diagnostic Tool

The DxDiag is a Windows utility that provides information about the video card and sound devices on your computer.

This is the first thing. Go to the start button and type dxdiag.

There are three. To view detailed video card specifications, click on the display tab. Clicking on the Sound tabs will show you your sound card information. The same information can be found in other locations.
