Most people prefer to work from home. Tech companies that help make telecommuting possible have gone up as well.

There is one company that has benefited from this all. The service is called zoom.

The move to remote work has been a hit with hundreds of millions of users. As businesses and offices reopened, people continued to use zoom to connect with their coworkers. Many people are using the service to create content outside of the old school business setting.

You don't have to worry if you're new to the program. The app is easy to use and you can experiment with the free plan. It's likely that you have a question about the virtual background feature that everyone loves. Users don't need a green screen to swap out their real-life background with an image or video.

Here’s how to use Zoom’s virtual background feature:

  1. You can download the mac or windows app.

  2. After you open the application, sign in, and click your profile picture, you'll be taken to the settings page.

  3. The virtual background tab is where you should go. Make sure the Virtual Background button is turned on under the Meeting tab if you don't see it.

  4. Users can choose from pre-installed background or their own.

  5. Select "I have a green screen" if you have a green screen setup. If you don't have a green screen, you should stream from a location with a solid background.

You can change your background in theiOS app if you use zoom.

  1. You can join a meeting by clicking the More tab.

  2. The virtual background option is available.

  3. You can choose a background from the library or take your own pictures.

Check the system requirements to see if you can enable the virtual background feature if you have an older computer or phone.
