Adobe is adding video support to its image organization tool. The same tools will be used to change the look and feel of images and videos. The ability to trim videos is one of the things that will be included in the next version of the program.
Adobe is adding a number of new features that will make working with preset easier, as well as a new red-eye removal tool that can automatically detect red eyes and fix them with a single click. A lot of photographers have been waiting for a new Compare View that lets them compare images side by side.

Video support is the highlight of the release and it's a tool that people don't think of as a video tool anymore. Adobe says that the tools are essentially the same for a lot of the basic processes. It will be easier for photographers and videographers to match their looks with this. Images will work for videos as well.
One of the benefits of using the same editing tools on your photos and videos is that you already know how to do it. The other great thing is that it allows you to achieve a consistent aesthetic across both photos and videos, even if you don't have access to a photo editing program.
It feels like it's a niche use case. You can only use a fully featured video editing tool if you want to make a video that mixes video and images. There isn't an integration with Adobe's video products. This isn't the worst way to go if you want to share a single clip to social media.
There is a new video feature in the program.

The team is putting a renewed focus on preset. Some people don't want to start editing photos from scratch. The marquee feature here is adaptive preset, which can be found in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom for Macintosh and Windows. Some of them might be familiar to you if you've used tools like Skylum'sLuminar. One preset for making skies more dramatic and another for making the subject of your photo pop. Adobe will definitely add more of these in the future.
There are five new premium preset packs from the likes of Ayesha Kazim and Jessy J.

Automatic red eye removal is a new feature. The name makes it clear. It finds red eyes in your images and removes them. It used to be that you had to point the red-eye removal tool at each eye, so that it wouldn't distract you. This new tool is only available in Adobe Camera Raw for Mac and Windows and not in the classic version of the program.

It will now be easier to compare images when you see them side-by-side, so you can choose the best version of the images you took.
