The amount of browser extensions you can find in the chrome store is one of the best things about chrome It's the best because it gives users almost endless ways to improve their experience, but also it's the worst because you don't know how many great extensions you're missing out on.

You can use chrome extensions to reorganize your email inbox, or you can use them to remove adult content from websites. Here are a few of the more useful chrome extensions.

1. Save to Google Drive

It's basic but it's good at what it does. There is a small icon in the upper right corner of the browser that will send whatever you are looking at to your account later. There is an option in the right click menu.

Saving images, audio, or video is possible with it. There isn't much to this extension, but it's a quick and easy way to send something to cloud storage for anyone who might need to transfer things between devices.

2. Sortd

It was understandable that people were sad when the Inbox by Gmail app was shutting down. The productivity-focused Gmail alternative gave its users ways to organize their inboxes.

The Sortd Chrome extension works well even though it isn't a perfect replacement. Users can drag and drop messages into columns with it. You can keep a to-do list in a sidebar with Sorted.

It's easy to return to the regular Gmail view for any reason with the click of a button.

3. Honey

One of the more popular and highly reviewed chrome extensions is honey. You can find coupons through an icon next to the URL or on a centralized website.

It can be hard to know if you're getting the best price on a product or not, even though the internet has made shopping more convenient. You can use honey to save money.

Downloads aren't the best part of the experience for as long as chrome has been around. Trying to open a separate tab to look through things you've downloaded can be difficult. The download bar on the bottom of the screen is unattractive.

The extension marketplace has a nice alternative in the form of chrono download manager. Click the extension icon in the upper right corner to see a window with all of your downloads in one place. You can see a preview of each download as soon as it's finished.

5. HTTPS Everywhere

In the new year, browsing the internet can be risky. It can be hard to know which websites are secure and which are not.

That's where the internet works. The simple Chrome plug-in allows you to switch any website from the default "http" to the more secure "https" in order to be more secure. It is not possible for a single browser extension to solve all of the internet's problems.

6. I don't care about cookies

There are a lot of websites that usecookies to store user information. The websites have to tell you this and ask for your permission. Having to do this frequently can be a little annoying.

The "I agree" button on the chrome extension is all it takes to agree to a cookie pop-up. It isn't much more than a time-saving, but it works.

7. Dalton colorblindness extension

The world isn't built for people with bad color vision. When objects or images on a website aren't easy to identify, the Dalton Chrome extension is a great solution.

The menu is located in the upper right corner of the browser. To make a website more readable, users can change the colors of the sliders. It's not a cure for colorblindness, but it might be helpful.

8. Speedtest

The internet is fast but not perfect. It's possible that you need to check your connection speed before you try to download something. Speedtest makes that very easy.

If you click the "Go" button, Speedtest will conduct a fast connection test on your network. If you have a question about your network speed, Speedtest can answer it.

9. Tab Suspender

It's easy to fly too close to the sun. It can be tempting to keep a lot of tabs open, which can slow down the browser.

Tab Suspender can be used to solve that problem. The tabs will be suspended after a set amount of time. Click or refresh to bring it back.

10. Grammarly

It's not a new extension, but it's useful. People who write anything know the fear of spelling orgrammar mistakes. They will be found and fixed for you.

It's always good to have a more detailed spell-check system.
