Clicking Who can see what you share will take you to the Privacy Checkup page on the web. If you want your posts to only be seen by a certain group of people, or by everyone on Facebook except for a few contacts, you can set this up here.
Limit past posts is a section. If you click the Limit button underneath it, any older posts that were shared with an audience of friends of friends or anyone on the web will be locked down so only your current Facebook friends can view them.
Facebook Messenger.
If you don't want your friends to send you a direct message on Facebook Messenger, you need to unfriend or block them. See below for more details.
You can message anyone else on Facebook, but the messages don't go to your inbox. Click or tap your profile picture on the desktop interface or inside the mobile app to see the messages. You can either reply or ignore the messages.
From the mobile Messenger app, tap your profile picture to see if your friends on Facebook can send you messages.
Unfriending and blocking.
People who are connected to you on Facebook are more likely to contact you. If you want to end a relationship with someone, visit their profile page on Facebook and click Friends then Unfriend.
If you don't want to hear from people on Facebook, use the block feature. They won't be able to add you to events, they won't be able to tag you, and they won't be able to message you. If you block someone, they will not be notified, but they may notice you are no longer friends with them.
If you want to block someone from the Facebook settings page, you have to do it next to Block users. If you don't want to hear from that person, you can add them to the blocked list. If you change your mind, you have to manually add them as friends again.
