The Regis Prograis vs. Josh Taylor fight that will unify two of the junior welterweight title belts on Saturday feels like a pick 'em fight. Both are undefeated. Both have beaten solid opposition. Both are aiming to show they're the best 140-pounder in the world.

Both are fully confident they're going to beat the other.

"I think I'm bigger than him, stronger than him and quicker than him. I punch just as hard as him. So I think I can beat him in every department," Taylor said, via the BBC. " ... If he tries to walk me down, I'll walk him into a shot and get him out of there. If not, I can outbox him for the full 12 rounds. So I'm fully confident I can win this fight either way it goes."

Prograis-who keeps a very special $1 paycheck in his possession-countered that by telling me, "He's got to convince himself. The tale of the tape never matters. Of course, he is taller than me, he is longer than me. Does he punch harder than me? Is his IQ like mine? I don't think so. Does he have my athletic ability, my talents? I just can't see it."

It should be a fascinating fight that you can stream Saturday on DAZN. There are plenty of reasons to watch Prograis vs. Taylor. Here are three of them.

1) This should be another step toward determining who's the best in the world at 140 pounds: It makes perfect sense that you could have Taylor and Prograis listed as the No. 1 and No. 2 fighters at 140 pounds. Or you could have it the other way around. Or a 1a and 1b situation. But the winner will have two belts. Of course, so does Jose Ramirez, who knocked out Maurice Hooker in June during a unification bout. Despite that, Prograis thinks of himself as the best. So does Taylor. Somebody won't get to say that after Saturday. "I still have a lot more proving to do," Prograis said. "There are still arguments out there. Even before Maurice Hooker lost to Ramirez, some people said he was the next person [to take over junior welterweight]. Some people say I'm the next person. Some people say it's Taylor. Some people say it's Ramirez. I don't want it to be a debate. I want to beat him and then if I can get in the ring with Ramirez, I'll fight him. There will be no doubt in my mind who's the best at 140 pounds. This is the perfect fight to prove that."

2) Will Taylor have homefield advantage?: Though Taylor is from Scotland, he should have many more fans in attendance at London's O2 Arena than New Orleans native Prograis. But Prograis isn't worried about that-even though he's never fought outside the U.S. and it might be tougher for him to get a close decision on the road (to be fair, the judges for the fight are from neutral countries: Italy, Mexico and Canada). "I think I can still win a decision," Prograis told Boxing Scene. "A lot of people are asking me if I feel like I have to knock him out. I don't feel like I have to knock him out. I feel like I can get a decision over here, because I feel it's going to be a dominant performance by me."

3) The winner could find themselves on the pound for pound list: While the bottom half of some pound-for-pound lists could be in flux (Manny Paquiao doesn't have a scheduled date for his next fight, and Mikey Garcia hasn't boxed since his overwhelming loss to Errol Spence last March), that could leave an opening for the Prograis-Taylor winner to possibly sneak on to that hypothetical list. "It's every fighter's dream to have that kind of status; to be regarded as one of the best fighters in the world," Taylor told RingTV.com. "It's amazing that this is even being spoken about and it's massive for my profile. My task right now is to win this fight but when I come through, I want to go for Jose Ramirez and become the undisputed champion."

Regis Prograis vs. Josh Taylor records

Both men are undefeated. Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) has faced a few solid fighters, beating former unified 140-pound titlist Julius Indongo, Terry Flanagan and Kiryl Relikh. But Taylor's resume is slightly better, as he's scored victories vs. Viktor Postol, Ivan Baranchyk and the previously-undefeated Ryan Martin. Taylor is 15-0 with 12 KOs.

Regis Prograis vs. Josh Taylor prediction

Taylor is a tough fighter, and if you saw his performances vs. Postol and Baranchyk, you know it's hard to pick against him. But I think Prograis has just a little more versatility, a bit more skill, and a tad more power than Taylor. These two fighters are both special talents. But I haven't necessarily been blown away by Taylor. I have been while watching Prograis. That's why I think he'll squeak out this victory. Call it Prograis by close unanimous decision.
