State patrol: 405 crashes, 911 cars off the road


GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol has been responding to hundreds of crashes and spinouts as winter has returned with a vengeance over the weekend.

The state patrol reports that statewide, from 12:01 a.m. on Friday to 10 a.m. Sunday, they responded to 405 crashes. Fifty-one of the crashes involved injuries, two involved serious injuries, and one of them was fatal.

The state patrol also responded to 911 vehicles spun out or off the road, and 17 jackknifed semis.
