One of two inmates who escaped from an Alabama prison recaptured


One of the inmates who escaped from an Alabama prison was recaptured Tuesday.

Ronald Odell King, 27, was taken into custody after cops tracked him down at around 4 p.m. in Birmingham, WKRG-TV reported.

He and Antwone Wilson, also 27, escaped from St. Clair Correctional Facility on Monday.

King is serving a 50-year sentence for burglary and Wilson is serving a life sentence for robbery.

Two inmates escape high-security prison in Alabama

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Alabama Department of Corrections continue to search for Wilson.

Authorities haven’t said how the inmates managed to escape from the facility.
