Houston’s recent slate of restaurant debuts means more late-night destinations, but some Houstonians may also be in the dark about some longtime local establishments that offer late-night dining.
Iconic Houston restaurant The Breakfast Klub features weekend late-night hours. The Breakfast Klub’s Midtown location, 3711 Travis, is typically open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., but it reopens from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The extended weekend schedule makes sense for the spot’s Midtown location, which often attracts throngs of late-night partiers looking to soak up their cocktails with Southern dishes and breakfast foods.

Also in Midtown, the old space that once housed The Refinery Burgers & Whiskey, 702 W. Dallas, is now home to South Bank Seafood Bar, a seafood-centric restaurant that merges Gulf Coast influences, from po-boys to quesadillas. Named for its location on the south bank of Buffalo Bayou, this stylish new outpost is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
GOODBYE: More Houston restaurants that have called it quits this summer
River Oaks District’s Bosscat Kitchen + Libations, 4310 Westheimer, may be situated in a swanky area, but it’s hours of operation are laid back. The restaurant, a mix of Southern Americana with modern twists, has a massive 6,900-square-foot space that welcomes diners from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturdays. In addition to smart food, the establishment is also equipped with an extensive selection of high-end whiskeys.
Note: Some restaurants are only open late on weekends. Call ahead to ensure the location is open.
