Galaxy Note 8 to sport better dual camera than the iPhone 7 Plus

According to reliable KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8, will sport a dual camera module similar to the one on board the iPhone 7 Plus.

However, Kuo expects the Galaxy Note 8’s camera to be “much better than that of the iPhone 7 Plus,” but likely on par with the upcoming iPhone 8, which is believed to sport an OLED display manufactured by Samsung.

If this rumor turns out to be true, it will be the first time the firm has released a smartphone with a dual camera configuration, and Kuo anticipates it’ll be made up of a 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS and 13-megapixel telephoto CIS.

Other purported specifications include a 6.4-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display, an in-house Exynos series (8895) processor, 6GB of RAM and iris recognition.

The Galaxy Note 8 will determine the future of the Note range

Seeing as the Galaxy Note 8 will be Samsung’s first handset in the Note range since the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, it’s really going to need to pull out all the stops to win back former customers.

Here’s to hoping it does.
