A comedian is proving incredibly popular in Hawaii.
Jo Koy is performing at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in November.
We first reported Wednesday that he sold out eight shows and added a ninth performance.
Within hours, that show also sold out. Now, a 10th show has been added.
Koy used KHON2’s original story to make the announcement on social media.
He says he can’t believe what’s happening.
“It’s literally non-stop. Everyone is DMing me and I should just keep adding shows. I’m overwhelmed. It all started with just one show at the Blaisdell,” he said. “I’m speechless, to be honest. I’m trying to find words and I can’t. It’s so surreal to me right now. I’ve had a great time, a beautiful road, but after the Netflix special and love I’m getting from Hawaii – Hawaii has always been good to me, but it’s just above and beyond right now. I can’t explain it. Me not having words, I hope, shows how overwhelming this is.”
The tenth show will take place Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. Tickets range in price from $35 to $45.

Koy is part Filipino and just released a standup comedy special on Netflix.
A local promoter says his comedy has resonated with people in Hawaii.
“There’s only been a few in the history of concerts (to sell out so many shows in Hawaii),” said Barb Saito, president of Aloha Group International. “Journey, which of course sold out in late ’80s, early ’90s. They did seven sell-out shows in the arena. Wayne Newton was here at the Hilton for Tom Moffatt and sold out seven shows over there, but for a comedian, this is unheard of. This is mind-blowing to tell you the truth.”
“You’re going to see 10 different shows from me, for sure,” Koy promised. “This is literally for the fans of Hawaii and the love out there. That’s my home. Every summer I take my family out there. When I’m not doing standup, I like to just be in Hawaii, and this is the main reason why. The love, the aloha is real, man.”
Koy is also performing two shows at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. The only tickets left are standing room only.
