Bella Thorne’s Brand-New Beauty Campaign Is All About Acne

Bella Thorne definitely doesn’t believe in filtering her beauty struggles. The actress has always been open about having acne (remember when she Snapchatted a giant pimple on her chest and noted its resemblance to a hickey?), showing her fans practically every breakout she’s ever had. We know she can relate to the annoyance of finding an unexpected zit, so her major new beauty deal makes perfect sense. Last night, Bioré announced the actress as the newest member of their skincare squad. And earlier this week, she took to her Instagram to get real about what skincare means to her.

“Real skin alert 🚨 it’s no secret I struggle w acne,” she wrote. “Sometimes it’s clear and sometimes it’s just not. I’m very self conscious and constantly feeling bad about myself. BUT I shouldn’t feel bad. It is normal to have acne. EVERY1 does! It’s only our society and social media outlets like this one that tells us we have to have ‘perfect skin’ to be considered socially acceptable.”

According to the brand, Bella’s first campaign will feature a trio of acne-fighting Charcoal and Baking Soda cleansers that launch early this year. We have a feeling we’ll soon find out exactly what else she uses to keep her complexion on track, besides cleansing scrubs that help unclog her pores and treat breakouts.
