Nude lipstick doesn’t have to match your nipples to flatter your skin tone. If you ask Becca Cosmetics, finding a neutral lipstick is less about matching it to some part of your body and more about your mood. Feeling the no-makeup makeup vibe? You might gravitate toward a pinky or brownish nude lipstick. Want to compliment bold eye makeup with something more subdued? A red-toned nude might do the trick. However you’re feeling, the new Becca Lush Lip Colour Balm collection might be a good option. Eight shades are about to drop, all of which could be considered “my lips but better” shades.
On Sunday, Becca announced its latest launch on Instagram. The post explained that the eight new balms are buildable and will enhance your natural lip color. I’m guessing that one coat will give you a sheer, low-key amount of color like your standard tinted lip balm. You can also layer it up, though, to make the nude shade more intense like a nude lipstick. The eight shades come in varying shades of brown, pink, and red, and have delicious names, like Doesn’t Cafe Au Lait, Cherry Ganache, and Almond Fraise, just to name a few.
I particularly love that the new balms have the same crystal-clear packaging as the Soft Light Blurring Powder, which launched earlier this year. Kerry Cole, Becca’s global style director, called the packaging “vanity candy” back then, and that descriptor still applies with the new balms.
An exact launch date for the Becca Lush Lip Colour Balm hasn’t been announced yet, but the beauty brand wrote on Instagram that the balms will be out next week exclusively on beccacosmetics.com and at Ulta.
